OpenText AppEnhancer 23.2 Released

The newest version of AppEnhancer is here and we are excited to share the new features and enhancements with you. This update not only refines the already robust content management system but introduces features that streamline document-centric processes across various platforms. Here's a glimpse into what AppEnhancer 23.2 brings to the table:

New features and enhancements in AppEnhancer 23.2

  • Recycle Bin: AppEnhancer's new recycle bin provides an extra layer of protection for deleted documents. Users with the requisite privileges can either restore or permanently delete "recycled" documents. This is applicable to AE documents and AE Document Revisions.

  • Hidden Fields: A new field flag has been incorporated, allowing the designation of specific fields as hidden in an AppEnhancer application. This is a useful enhancement for concealing internal IDs, Personally Identifiable Information (PII), or other sensitive data from non-admin AE users.

  • Validation Mask for User Stamps: This feature facilitates the creation of a user stamp to record the individual who indexed the document. You can set the validation mask for %USERNAME% or %FULLNAME%, depending on the desired user information to be recorded.

  • Field ID and App ID: Now, administrators can view both FieldID and AppID when checking field and app information in AppEnhancer Administrator. This is beneficial for those using APIs to access the environment or running queries and reports against the AppEnhancer database.

  • Licensing via OTDS: AppEnhancer 23.2 extends support for licensing via OTDS/SPS. This enables a high availability of licensing services and deployment via containers, further simplifying the management and scaling of AppEnhancer environments.

  • REST API Enhancements: A swagger interface has been added to the AppEnhancer REST services, aiding developers in their work with the AppEnhancer REST API. This inclusion is set to expedite the development process, ensuring a smooth integration of AppEnhancer within various operational frameworks.
